My research approaches the relations between Brazilian and European avant-garde poetry movements, particularly between Brazil, France and Germany, and interarts dialogues as well.

My MA’s thesis focused on Brazilian concrete poetry movement and its interaction with avant-garde music in the 60’s. This decade is marked by an intense exchange between concrete poets and avant-garde movements in many countries in Europe, such as Germany, France, Scotland, and Swiss, to name a few. Following the same direction, composers from Brazil would study in the Darmstadt Summer Courses and found a Brazilian New Music movement.

In my Ph.D. I intend to have the opportunity to go abroad and visit archives and collections in Europe in order to document this period of Brazilian art that remains uncovered.
