Maya is a junior double majoring in Global Affairs and Economics with a focus on international development and gender economics. As a dual citizen of the U.S. and Spain, she has a particular interest in Spanish politics and economics. To that end, Maya has interned for Oxfam Intermón, taught courses related to the Catalan separatist movement through Hemispheres (the nonprofit, educational branch of the Yale International Relations Association), and studied abroad in Madrid. In addition to these experiences Maya has engaged with the broader European region through research on EU gender economics and French far-right politics as well as studying abroad in Lyon and Paris.
