Assistant Professor of Political Science

Giulia Oskian is a lecturer at the Political Science Department and at the Humanities Program. In 2013 she received a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the Scuola Normale Superiore. Before coming to Yale she has been as Fulbright Fellow at Columbia University, a Visiting Assistant Professor at Sciences-Po Paris and a Fellow of the Centre for the History of Political Thought at Queen Mary University London. Her first book, “Tocqueville and the Legal Bases of Democracy” (Bologna: Il Mulino, 2014) is now being translated into English.
