Having grown up reading Spanish and Latin-American literature, Caitlin is particularly fascinated by the cultural intersections and historical dynamics between European states and their neighboring lands. Her research interests focus on the way that historical events in these regions have shaped contemporary societies. She is currently enrolled in a course on Sino-Russian relations, seeking to gain insights into the broader historical context behind Eurasian geopolitics and its implications for contemporary international relations. She also has just recently begun learning Mandarin after spending a month solo traveling in Asia.
