Avi Patel is a Yale University student studying the History of Science, Medicine, and Public Health. He is in Benjamin Franklin College, and is originally from Jacksonville, Florida. He’s deeply intrigued by European urban sustainability, specifically in the context of urban networks and transportation. Analyzing health outcomes related to urban accessibility is his focus. Avi aims to understand how city planning and transportation impact public well-being. His research delves into the interplay between urban design, transportation systems, and health. By exploring European models, Avi seeks diverse strategies for improving city life while minimizing negative health effects. In the past, he has done research on networks in London, Rome, and Barcelona. Outside of class, Avi is actively involved with the Haven Free Clinic and Yale Model Congress.
