Hello! I am Sarah, a sophomore studying English with a potential double major in History. I am a part of numerous international relations projects and organizations on campus– including Yale Model Government Europe in Athens, Greece– and am interested in European contemporary politics and policymaking as well as UN and EU activities across the continent. This summer, I worked as an instructor for Yale Young Global Scholars, and taught three courses with focuses in Europe: the rise of right-wing populism across Europe, Portuguese and Swedish drug policy; and frozen conflicts in light of Russia’s various post-soviet relationships with Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia and the ongoing war in Ukraine. Additionally, I hope to study abroad in France in the summer of 2023 and potentially work on research relating to French politics, especially in the context of far-right populism throughout Europe.
