The bio will be featured on our website: Mariko Rooks is a second year MPH student at the Yale School of Public Health in the combined BA/MPH program. Graduating from Yale College in 2021 as a European Studies Undergraduate Fellow with a double major in the History of Science, Medicine and Public Health and Ethnicity, Race, and Migration, Mariko’s historical work focuses primarily on the effects of the British and Portuguese trans-Atlantic slave trade on the development of the modern pharmaceutical industry.
