Liana Battsaligova
PhD Candidate
Liana Battsaligova is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures. She is currently working on her dissertation, “Russian Beauty: Re-Imagining Nationalism in Poetry and Arts, 1980-1990.” Her research explores the ways in which artistic production, namely visual art and poetry, embraced neo-classical forms and functioned as one of the impulses for the re-establishment of conservatism in Russian society in the 2000s.
