Casey Smith
I have a B.A. from Wheaton College (Massachusetts) where I majored in Russian studies and European history with a minor in secondary education. I hope to one day go into higher education as well as public education. Within my Russian studies, I specialize in Central Asia, specifically late 19th and early 20th century Central Asia and its interaction with the Russian empire. I have research experience in the late Emirate of Bukhara and the migration of millenarian groups to Uzbekistan. I additionally have a research background in Carolingian history, hence my love of the convergence of Medieval theology and Central Asian migration.
