Ben is a junior in Saybrook College studying Ethics, Politics, and Economics and Global Health Studies. As a first-generation Ukrainian American, Ben is passionate about health equity and reforms in Ukraine and across Eastern Europe. Particularly, Ben is interested in researching solutions to the tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS epidemics in Ukraine, which are some of the worst in Europe and the world. This summer, he is studying the global health impacts of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Specifically, he is researching how displaced Ukrainian individuals who inject drugs and/or participate in opioid agonist therapy have navigated healthcare in Germany, Poland, and Moldova.
