Anabelle is a Ph.D. candidate in the History of Art Department studying Italian and Spanish medieval wood sculpture. Her research focuses on the production, diffusion, and display of sculpture groups of Christ’s Deposition in Castile, Catalonia, and Central Italy. She also studies how medieval art was appropriated to promote national identities in Southern Europe in the early 20th century. Prior to Yale, Anabelle studied the History of Art at the Courtauld Institute of Art in London and at the University of Oxford.
